The Cafe Society recently selected Go Cafe (Go Coffee's sister company) as a top 3 coffee shop. We received a 3rd place award at a gala evening held at Moja on the Pier. Our head barista Nkosi came 2nd in the best barista competition. Go Cafe was the only coffee shop in Durban's Highway area to make the top 10 2010. See our gallery for pics.

The month of September saw the cafe celebrate it's first year of serving up some of the best cappuccinos in Durban. Happy Birthday Go Cafe!

We are proud to tell you that we are part of the I Heart Market in Durban. The market is held on the 1st Saturday of every month and can now be found in its exciting new venue, . . . That's right, our very own Moses Mabhida Stadium. And what a venue! These last few months have seen the market grow amazingly and we appluad the effort of Saki and her organisational team for all their efforts (aka the Joyteam).

Craig Charity, former owner and now mentor in Go Coffee entered in the KZN Barista Competition at Ushaka Marine World in the beginning of August 2009. Though he did not place in the top six we are proud to have been represented among some of the best baristas South Africa has to offer. In 2010 Craig won 'best technical' and came 3rd over all in the regional Barista Champs which saw him attending the Nationals where he performed admirably, placing 11th in South Africa whilst using the very same blend of coffee that GoCoffee uses at all of its events. This year however was to be his greatest, congrats to Craig on walking away with an almost clean sweep of the trophies, including best cappaccino and signature drink amongst others. We'd like to wish him all the best as he now moves on to the Natonals which are to be held in Cape Town in the New Year. Many valuable connections were made with people in the coffee industry which will only help us in our future ventures.

After only being on the go since April 2009, Go Coffee has certainly been going places.
